Canabalt

Canabalt is a "minimalist" flash game for the web. When I say minimalist, I'm not joking. This game has retro-styled pixel graphics and only one button for control. The point of the game is, you are free-running on top of buildings in a city that is being destroyed by robots and planes. Your goal is to avoid obstacles and jump gaps to make it as far as possible. There's one interesting catch though, there is no "ending" to the game other than you dying. You just try to get as far as possible.

The game was given numerous positive reviews by many major game blogs and was praised for its simplicity. It's also procedurally generated, in other words, the game builds itself so its never the same twice. This makes the game fun and interesting because you never know where the next obstacle or gap will be.

As far as minimalist gaming goes, this game is tops. If you want to play it, go to http://adamatomic.com/canabalt/
